Description

Horse Walk into the Shire!

Slow down, breathe in the fresh country air, and experience June Farms alongside one of our gentle horses.

During this peaceful one-hour guided trail walk, you’ll be paired with one of our three magnificent Shire horses or our beloved pony, Winston, and take a leisurely walk together through the beautiful grounds and trails of June Farms, including past the Hobbit House in the forest!

Spending time with horses can be a wonderfully calming and grounding experience. Their quiet presence encourages us to slow down, be present in the moment, and disconnect from the stresses of everyday life. Combined with fresh air, gentle movement, and the natural beauty of the farm, this experience offers a unique opportunity to relax, recharge, and connect with one of our most special animals.

Along the way, take in the peaceful scenery, enjoy the changing seasons, and experience the farm from a completely different perspective. No horseback riding is involved—this experience is all about walking, connecting, and enjoying time together.

June Farms is a charming, small farm located on 120 acres in New York’s beautiful Hudson Valley. We specialize in working with “heritage breeds”, traditional livestock breeds that were raised by our ancestors centuries ago. All of our animals are pasture raised, they have access to plenty of fresh grass, and they are treated with love and respect.
