Description

Zona’s Cabaret and Blues Joint bears the name of Dennis Spears’ mother, who loved the arts, especially gospel, jazz, and blues music. This feisty production features a combination of all three, set in a southern backwoods juke joint that holds a reverent space for its Hammond B-3. Come prepared to do some dancin' at the juke!

PaviElle and Dennis Spears will lead this jook joint experience, accompanied by Thomas West, keyboards; Deevo Dee, guitar; Mark Weisberg, bass, and Michael Pilhofer on drums.

Gonna be some hot times @ the Capri!

The Capri is owned and operated by PCYC, a strong, 69-years-young, community-based nonprofit with a rich history of exceptional education, arts and youth programming to children, families, and the North Minneapolis community.

Expanding on its significant presence on Minneapolis’ Northside, PCYC has operated the historic Capri Theater since 1987, and opened the expanded, renovated Capri on October 3, 2021.

Together with PCYC, our mission is to enrich the skills, prospects and spirit of North Minneapolis area youth and adults, in partnership with families and communities.
