Step inside the witty, winding world of Los Empeños de Una Casa, Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz's timeless comedy of love, mistaken identities, and bold intellect. Presented in both English and Spanish staged reading performances under the diligent eye of Director Nadia Guevara, this vibrant reimagining celebrates one of the Americas' earliest feminist voices. Set against the backdrop of the beautiful and historic Mexican Cultural Institute, join us for a joyful exploration of desire, power, and freedom in this door-slamming farce – where love and laughter know no bounds! Each presentation runs 100 minutes followed by a short talkback led by Glass Canon Theatre Company’s Director of Education Gabriel Alejandro.
