This webinar is complimentary for JFMP clients for which we have provided services to in the last year. For those medical imaging facilities that wish to attend, a small fee will be required. We will discuss the topics below, followed by a 10 min. open discussion/question period:
- Brief review of major components of the imaging chain (X-ray tube, detector, displays)
- Discussion of parameters per HARP Act Reg. 543 for medical X-ray facilities to be evaluated
- Reviewing sample HARP reports for various medical X-ray machines and understanding what the values imply about quality/safety for the patient
- Discussion of possible pathways for further improvements in patient radiation safety based on the results in your HARP reports
- Final thoughts
