We have used toys the same way for the length of human history. All that time, we have asked, what do these toys do when we're not playing with them?

"How to Spot Counterfeit Beanie Babies" is a program of 20 short films about toys coming to life. The films range in medium from animation to puppeteering to non-fiction documentary. The program will spotlight works by (among others) Cecelia Condit and Jodie Mack. Additionally, the program will feature the world premieres of videos by Camille Cooper, Natthew Marvan, & Mark Zubrovich.

"Furpile" is a please-touch plushie sculpture show showing in various venues throughout Pittsburgh this summer. 70+ artists were invited to produce a unique stuffie that audiences are encouraged to see, touch, squeeze, sniff, and play with. These plushies will be present for this event, and audiences will be invited to cozy up with them for the duration of the screening. Whose additionally invites you to bring your own beloved plushie friends to this screening (playdates are encouraged).
