Sunday 3/23 we’re back at Mississippi’s Atlantis Lounge for a special Hungry Hungry Hip-Hop memorializing the founder of our event Elan Eichler aka Mighty Misc who tragically passed away one year ago. In his memory we are reviving the open mic freestyle cypher as well as spotlighting teen musicians in collaboration with Friends of Noise for an all ages portion of the evening. Joining them will be former hungry host Dusty Fox as well as alumni and long time supporter of the event Mat Randol.
We’re also excited to welcome back Wavy Josef whose return performance has been long overdue, as well as introduce Johnnie Riar, a newcomer to our event. Additionally we’ll be raising funds for Friends of Noise who have commemorated Elan with their Youth Artist Directory in his name, contributing toward their work as they a new all ages music venue in Kenton, North Portland. We look forward to sharing this evening with you to honor the impact of our founder who kickstarted this event nearly 14 years back. Much love
