The Henry Players were established in 1991. It is completely based on a volunteer basis. The mission of the Henry Players is to provide opportunities for community participation in quality theater productions involving both children and adults.
Description
Beauty is the Beast is a hilarious and heartfelt comedy by contemporary playwright Don Zolidis that turns the traditional fairy-tale ending upside down. Twenty-five years after Belle and Beast’s happily ever after, their story takes a very unexpected turn, proving that “happily ever after” may not be quite as simple as the fairy tales make it seem.
With familiar characters in wonderfully unfamiliar situations, Beauty is the Beast is packed with clever comedy, fairy-tale chaos, and plenty of surprises. Beneath the laughs is a story about identity, friendship, and finding the courage to take control of your own story—even when it doesn’t unfold the way you expected.
