We at the museum work to preserve and present the rich history of the Attleboro area with an emphasis on its industrial history. We welcome visits by individuals and groups interested in exploring Attleboro’s industrial history. We are active in making historic presentations both at the museum and out in our community.
Description
Join us at the AAIM on Thursday, November 13th from 6:15pm to 7:15pm for a read aloud of “I Can Code: If/Then” followed by a STEM activity geared toward younger children.
We will learn an introductory coding basic: If this happens, then this will happen (If/Then). We’ll explore this concept starting with a hands-on experience using everyday objects and finishing it with a connection to coding using our new coding robots!
While at the museum, stop by our IEEE exhibit to view the history of microchips and the processors that have paved the way for the technology we enjoy in every day life - including some invented and produced in Attleboro plates to sensors. With an early introduction to coding, your child could grow to be a software engineer, app developer, cybersecurity analyst, and more.
This event is free. Registration is encouraged but not required. This event is intended for ages 3-5.
