I am a generational curse breaker, an inspirational mentor, a motivational speaker, and a woman of influence. I had the vision to start the “I am She, She Is Me'' movement and hosted my first women empowerment event in May of 2021. The desire was to provide a platform/outlet for women to gather, relax and relate by listening, engaging with others and sharing personal truths. This freedom would give the attendees a sense of reflection. Comfort to know they were not alone. The event consisted of therapeutic activities for women to fellowship and allow them to be themselves. Renewing minds and restoring hearts on a journey of healing from their stigmas and propel them from stagnation. I started working internally to be transparent and by sharing my own story. This story has grown into a new book opportunity, “Everybody Gotta Story to Tell”: This is Mine. Stay Tuned🙌🏾 It shares my experiences of various trauma: I am a survivor of sexual assaults, suicide attempts, domestic violence, and almost becoming a convicted felon (facing 22 yearss)(to name a few). Betrayal, manipulation, rejection, addictions, and abandonment seeds of evil. God used to work out for my good. The biggest challenge was being raised in tradition and religion to serve and love a God who, for years, I grew up to hate; simply because of the traumatic experiences I endured. Getting to know God for myself allowed me to be who I am today. I believe we all have a thorn in our flesh! A struggle that we battle knowing and unknowingly to others. Acknowledging our thorns and not allowing it to keep you from being the best version of yourself because of opinions, crmcumstances, and tradition! “I am a spiritual being living a natural experience.” I am Charity Buie.
