Description

Join us for good conversation, food, music, and shopping. This brunch is all about the grown folks' conversations, transparency, motivation, and inspiration. We plan to chat about the swept under the rug and taboo things in our communities. Let's come together and work to break generational curses.

April is Sexual Assault and Awareness month, and October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. But as we all know, these two topics are not discussed nearly enough. Many of us may see the news or learn about a victim once they've perished. And too often, it's closer to home than we think or are aware. Some of us have experienced or witnessed an assault during childhood. Some of us may know someone who is suffering in silence. THIS brunch is the place to talk about it and OVERCOME! So, join my guest and me as they share their stories of trials and triumphs. Everybody has a story. This brunch is a safe space for education and empowerment. Plan to be uplifted and inspired, no matter where you are or your story.

We will meet you where ever you are.

I look forward to seeing you!

I am a generational curse breaker, an inspirational mentor, a motivational speaker, and a woman of influence. I had the vision to start the “I am She, She Is Me'' movement and hosted my first women empowerment event in May of 2021. The desire was to provide a platform/outlet for women to gather, relax and relate by listening, engaging with others and sharing personal truths. This freedom would give the attendees a sense of reflection. Comfort to know they were not alone. The event consisted of therapeutic activities for women to fellowship and allow them to be themselves. Renewing minds and restoring hearts on a journey of healing from their stigmas and propel them from stagnation. I started working internally to be transparent and by sharing my own story. This story has grown into a new book opportunity, “Everybody Gotta Story to Tell”: This is Mine. Stay Tuned🙌🏾 It shares my experiences of various trauma: I am a survivor of sexual assaults, suicide attempts, domestic violence, and almost becoming a convicted felon (facing 22 yearss)(to name a few). Betrayal, manipulation, rejection, addictions, and abandonment seeds of evil. God used to work out for my good. The biggest challenge was being raised in tradition and religion to serve and love a God who, for years, I grew up to hate; simply because of the traumatic experiences I endured. Getting to know God for myself allowed me to be who I am today. I believe we all have a thorn in our flesh! A struggle that we battle knowing and unknowingly to others. Acknowledging our thorns and not allowing it to keep you from being the best version of yourself because of opinions, crmcumstances, and tradition! “I am a spiritual being living a natural experience.” I am Charity Buie. I am a warrior, overcomer, and healer of self and will heal many. Peace is my portion! I am She, She Is Me -Human
