We're excited to be able to offer a limited amount of tickets for Ice Magic to residents in the communities of Banff, Lake Louise, Canmore, Mînî Thnî, Lac Des Arc, Deadman Flats, Exshaw, Harvie Heights, Field and Kananaskis. Proof of residence will be required upon event entry.
Lake Louise residents are encouraged to pick up Ice Magic wrist bands from the Lake Louise Visitor Centre (201 Village Road), instead of booking a ticket through the community day offer.
Ice Magic 2025 returns to the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, and this year carvers will create a gallery of ice sculptures inspired by the theme, “Soul of Banff & Lake Louise – Nature’s Whisper”.
Timeslots for community members are available between 10:00AM and 8:00 PM on January 29 and February 2, 2025. During the event, you can expect to see three teams creating a gallery of ice sculptures and live ice carving demonstrations.
As there is no event parking at the Upper Lake Louise parking lot, all ticketholders are asked to take a complimentary shuttle bus from the Lake Louise Ski Resort for the best Ice Magic experience. Alternatively, you may walk or take public transit, Roam Route 8X, to the event.
Once you've arrived and parked at the Lake Louise Ski Resort, to check in for Ice Magic, please head to "The Guide's Cabin", down the stairs before the Guest Services building on the left.
The time on your ticket represents when your complimentary shuttle bus departs from the Lake Louise Ski Resort.
Please arrive at least 20-minutes prior to your departure time to check-in and load onto the shuttle. For example:
- If you've booked a 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM timeslot
- Arrive at 9:40 AM for parking, check-in, and shuttle loading
- Shuttle departs at 10:00 AM
- Arrive at Ice Magic at 10:15 AM
- Board a return shuttle, running at half past the hour, every hour
- Please note weekends will be busier at the Lake Louise Ski Resort, please expect delays and parking further away from the check-in.
Further details on return shuttle timings will be provided in your email confirmation. We recommend 1-hour to go through the Ice Magic experience and your timeslot represents this recommendation. However, you are free to stay in Lake Louise as long as you please, with the last shuttle bus departing at 9:30 PM.
Please be considerate when booking tickets and cancelling at least 24 hours in advance if you can no longer attend to allow others to enjoy the experience. To cancel your ticket, please email tickets@banfflakelouise.com
