Class description: We will be painting on ice skates.  Over 3 evenings, we will focus on the different project elements. We will work with backgrounding on this unusual piece, creation of Transparent Telemark scrolls, and line work.  The ice skates will look great by a fireplace or Christmas tree.  They could be used instead of a wreath on your front door or porch.


This class has 3 sessions.  Class will run consecutively for 3 days, Tuesday November 12, Wednesday November 13 and Thursday November 14, 2024.  6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. central time


Class level:  All levels of experience are welcome.


Medium being used :  Medium teach will be using is acrylic.  Students may use their favorite medium, acrylics or oils.


Surface: Where do you find ice skates?  Check your attic, your storage areas, friends, antique shops, resale shops, sporting good stores, garage sales etc.  Any size or color can be used.  The color palette will be adjusted to fit the color of the background.

Instructor biography:  Lois began rosemaling in 1977, started teaching in 1979, and in 1998 received the Vesterheim Gold Medal in rosemaling.  She has authored 9 rosemaling instruction books and teaching to share her love Rosemaling.  She is one of the founders and is past president of Rosemaling Coast to Coast.


Location:  This is an online class hosted on Zoom.  All technical requirements needed to join the class are the responsibility of the student. RCC virtual classes will be recorded. All classes are listed in the Central time zone.
