Description

In this year of uncertainty, we're all seeking that sparkling sensation of Christmas spirit. Banff & Lake Louise Tourism is proud to present: In Search of Christmas Spirit - a live Christmas story told by the wildlife of Banff National Park and delivered by a sensory extravaganza of light and sound.

This multi-sensory experience launched in 2020, and this year it’s brighter than ever. In Search of Christmas Spirit takes place at the Cascades of Time Gardens near the Parks Canada Administrative building in downtown Banff, just over the Bow River.

In Search of Christmas Spirit is a free outdoor lighting experience available on select nights of the holiday season. The experience is ticketed for your comfort and enjoyment.

We estimate that you will need 45-minutes to complete the story journey – an easy walk through a live Christmas story told by the illuminated wildlife of Banff National Park.

Please consider that this takes place outdoors and to dress appropriately, including proper footwear. There is limited access, with an uneven walkway and irregular steps. You are welcome to bring walking poles with metal tips.

IMPORTANT

This is a free outdoor event hosted on select nights of the holiday season. The experience is ticketed for your comfort and enjoyment.

You must reserve tickets for all members of your party, other than children 2 years old and under. There is no group ticket option.

To ensure the health and safety of everyone involved, Banff & Lake Louise Tourism will be implementing the Restrictions Exemption Program (REP) at In Search of Christmas Spirit. All attendees aged 12 and up will be required to present valid personal identification and proof of vaccination, or proof of a privately-paid negative PCR or rapid test within 72 hours of the session, or documentation of a medical exemption.

The site is not accessible. Strollers may be left upon entry into the gardens (unsupervised area).

No pets allowed.

There will be no food or beverage available on site.

Washroom facilities are available on site.

Please arrive 10 minutes before ticket time. Guests will check-in at the Banff Park Museum and then head to the Cascade of Times Garden, which is a 5-minute walk away.

Should the event be cancelled for an evening, registrants will be notified through email.
