The Brighton & Hove Food Partnership's Community Kitchen is a cookery school where everyone can cook, learn new skills and enjoy food with others. We want everyone to experience the benefits of cooking and eating together. By paying for a cookery class, you help other people to attend cookery activities, regardless of finance, confidence or ability, and to make lasting changes to their lives.
Kirna Amin brings the authentic tastes of Gujarat and Indian street food markets to the Community Kitchen, sharing the cooking techniques and flavour combinations that have evolved over centuries so you can prepare street food favourites here in Brighton.
You will work in pairs to prepare a typical menu of:
- Vegetable samosas
- Aloo tikki and coriander chutney with potato cakes
- Misal pav - a mixed bean curry, layered with crunchy noodles , onions and served with a fried buttered roll
What previous participants on our Indian cookery classes said: "I totally loved it... The atmosphere and the delicious food." "Approachable chef/ teacher." "I have the confidence to give it a go."
