Share This workshop by the American Camp Association will provide a foundational understanding of Social Emotional Learning within the context of a summer camp environment and how this applies to establishing, maintaining and repairing relationships among staff and campers. This occurs by creating conditions for learning within the camp setting that promote safety, connection and cognition with co-regulation strategies, self awareness, rituals and routines.
Emily Dills is a passionate educator, specializing in the areas of Diversity and Inclusion, Social Emotional Learning, and Culturally Responsive Teaching. She has a rich background in teaching, having worked with K-5 Elementary and Special Education students across the United States. Emily holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary and Special Education, a Master’s in Educational Leadership also with an administration and English language learner licensure.
