Program Overview

Inspired Aging is a free multi-session studio art course for adults 55+. Courses are led by professional teaching artists who utilize the museum's collection as a stimulus for art-making experiences. Teaching artists guide participants to create artwork that will be showcased in a culminating event at the museum. These courses are designed to offer lifelong learning through the arts and serve older adults who have an interest in exploring creative expression in a social group setting. Courses are free but space is limited, so registration is required.

These free courses are made possible by the generous support of E.A. Michelson Philanthropy. Many thanks for our partners at Creative Aging and the City of Memphis Parks Senior Centers.
