Join us June 15-19 for a week of fun and imagination with our INTERMEDIATE Youth Theatre Camp SPOTLIGHT SHOWCASE!

This is a 5-day intensive theatrical training camp for students ages 12 and up.

The SPOTLIGHT SHOWCASE focuses on well-known classic and beloved musical theatre scenes, songs, and dances.

 

*LIMITED SPACE as there will be more one-on-one time with the youth counselors.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

ORIENTATION - The journey begins with orientation. This will be a chance to meet the counselors, meet the fellow campers, and also for the counselors to meet and get to know the students. **This will be done via ZOOM to allow a bit more flexibility. 

**Counselors will ask all students to sing a song they are familiar with. Selections may be sung either acapella, or with their own accompaniment track. 

If your child would rather just act, or dance, please let the counselors know.

Don't worry! This is just a way for the counselors to learn each student's comfort levels, and to offer a program tailored to the students.

CAMP HOURS: 

Monday - Friday (June 15-19) from 10a- 3p at the Amana Performing Arts Center, 39 38th Ave, Amana, IA.

At the end of the week the students will act, sing, dance and SHINE as they perform for their families and friends of the community.

Light lunch & Nut Free snacks will be provided.

PERFORMANCE: June 19th at 7pm at The Amana Performing Arts Center.

REGISTRATION: $150 per student

**Youth Camp T-Shirt, and 2 tickets to the SPOTLIGHT SHOWCASE INCLUDED in the registration fee.

TKM THEATRICAL PRODUCTIONS is a non-profit 501(c)(3) and charitable organization.

Tom Milligan has been a working theatrical professional for the past 45+ years, working as an actor, director, scene designer, producer, and writer. Originally from Des Moines, companies credited to his resume include Charlie's Showplace Dinner Theatre, The Drake Opera, The Drama Workshop, The Old Creamery Theatre Company, The Iowa Theatre Artists Company, as well as many other arts groups around the state.

Deb Kennedy has been working professionally for the past 25 years, working throughout the Midwest onstage, offstage, touring, and occasionally onscreen. 

Deb & Tom’s career paths crossed in 2005, where they quickly realized they were a great creative team, and the production Team of Kennedy & Milligan (TKM THEATRICAL PRODUCTIONS) was established in 2014.

Theatre is a community. It’s laughter, its family, it’s an escape. Our mission is simple. We want to make you laugh, and bring people together with their friends, neighbors, and families. Our goal is to provide affordable entertainment to the Amana Colonies and the surrounding rural communities of Iowa. We strive to provide diverse entertainment, and life enriching projects, with offerings ranging from dinner theatre productions, comedies, live music, or children's plays and workshops. Basically, our goal is to bring fun and LAUGHTER to our community!
