Internal family systems has never been more relevant. Are you feeling overwhelmed, find yourself numbing with shows and another beer, doom scrolling, brain fog, fatigued, feeling paralyzed? How about your nervous system is over active, mind racing, unable to sleep, hypervigilant, on edge, unable to settle, stuck in a cycle of thinking of the worst case scenario? These are just parts of us not ALL of who we are. Internal Family Systems (IFS) gives us a map to understand these different parts and why they may be activated. IFS is a compassionate and holistic approach. It is grounded in the concept that there are no bad parts of us. All parts of us belong and have good intention for us, even the parts of us that we least like. IFS also helps us find our way back home to the part of ourself that is already calm, persistent, creative, compassionate, present, courageous and many more amazing characteristics. We all have this part within but are not always connected to it. Now more than ever, we and the world need this beautiful Self energy to be vibrant!
