Curious about watercolor but not sure where to start? This beginner-friendly class is the perfect introduction.
In Into the Woods: Pines 101, you’ll learn the fundamentals of watercolor while creating beautiful, forest-inspired greeting cards. With hands-on, step-by-step instruction, we’ll cover the basics of watercolor supplies—paper, brushes, and paints—so you can feel confident continuing your practice at home.
You’ll learn how to:
- Create a soft wet-on-wet gradient background
- Paint loose, swoopy, bloppy pine trees with an approachable, relaxed style
- Build confidence with simple watercolor techniques designed for beginners
We’ll practice backgrounds and pines together, and you’ll leave with two finished, hand-painted greeting cards plus written pine-painting instructions to take home.
All supplies are provided for use during class. If you already have watercolors you love, feel free to bring them along.
✨ No experience necessary—just come ready to paint, play, and enjoy a creative morning in the woods.
