This unique parent-and-child workshop at Soleado Lavender Farm invites you to step away from the everyday and into the woods for an adternoon of shared discovery, set against the farm’s peaceful landscape, this program blends hands-on survival skills with reflective journaling and creative art activities, offering a balance of adventure and imagination.
Together, you and your child will:
• Learn outdoor basics: knife safety, fire-making, and the importance of perfecting your aim.
• Build confidence through teamwork: Activities focus on problem-solving, cooperation, leadership and communication.
• Explore creativity in nature: guided journaling and art-making sessions that help participants reflect, connect, and capture the day’s experiences.
The workshop is designed to nurture both practical skills and emotional growth—fostering resilience, curiosity, and deeper connections.
Come prepared to get your hands dirty, your hearts full, and your imaginations wide open.
What you need to bring:
Weather appropriate clothing, supportive shoes/boots, a hat. A survival knife, link will supplied in the confirmation email. water bottle. drawing paper pad or unlined journal.

Smoking, vaping, and outside alcohol are strictly prohibited.

For forecasted rain we will offer you your choice of a rain date or store credit toward any farm products or upcoming events or workshops. In cases of extreme weather, “acts of God,” health mandates, or unforeseen circumstances the event may be cancelled.
