2000 Northwest Market StreetStudents will learn basic techniques for designing and dyeing pysanky (Ukranian wax-resist eggs)! Learn about the history and symbolism of traditional design elements to personalize your work. Students will complete their designs in this three-hour workshop and pick up their varnished, finished pysanky afterwards!
Ages: 10 and up. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
Materials: All materials are provided!
Liv learned to write pysanky from their mother-in-law when they were a teenager and fell in love with it. They have been making them and helping teach others ever since. Liv loves both traditional designs and more modern, freestyle artwork, and loves introducing people of all ages to this art form!
