Description
California Naturalist John Lynch and Citizen Scientist Krissa Klein will provide an introduction to the iNaturalist app and a chance to use it on a leisurely walk along the Hillside and Meadow trails. If you haven't used iNaturalist, or haven't made an observation for a while, this is your chance - just make sure to load the iNaturalist app (https://www.inaturalist.org/) on your phone before you arrive. Tickets are $5 for the general public and limited to 12. Meet at the White Barn. Bring water, a full battery on your mobile device, and layers. Parking fees apply and rain cancels the event. We will observe County Health orders including mask-wearing and physical distancing.
City Nature Challenge runs from April 30th to May 3rd, 2021. It’s a bioblitz-style competition where cities are in a contest against each other to see who can make the most observations of nature, who can find the most species, and who can engage the most people.
This event is part of the Challenge along with other events scheduled from 4/30-5/3.
