1010 Dale Street NorthThis hands-on masonry workshop will be hosted at a private St. Paul home and taught by masonry expert John Beaty. Participants will tour a classic 1 1/2 story cottage style home and become familiar with the different types of common home masonry, learn the lingo/tools/materials of the masonry trade, and how-to identify trouble areas and address simple DIY repair options - especially in terms of foundation cracks/openings, crumbling concrete window sills, and tuckpointing. Learn about historic masonry materials and techniques while getting hands-on practice restoring a local home.
