Led by instructor and sketch comedian Curt Riedy, you'll learn the foundations of writing and developing SNL-style comedy sketches for both the stage and video! In this course, we’ll teach you the basics of sketch comedy writing and structure, along with how to edit and revise your material in a collaborative “writer’s room” setting.
We’ll also offer some tips on creating unique characters and share some tried-and-true methods for creating short-form comedy in the vein of Saturday Night Live, Key & Peele, Kids in the Hall and more.
This weekly, 6-session course starts on August 5th, 2025 at the Sawubona Creativity Project in South Philly.
