Description

In this workshop, you will learn the skills required to catch, handle and transport injured or sick wildlife in the safest manner for you and the animal. The session focuses on scenarios which Fauna Rescue SA rescuers most commonly attend, however we will also introduce you to situations that you may encounter after gaining more experience.

· The role of Fauna Rescue SA's wildlife hotline  · The rescuer  · The rescue  · Rescuing possums · Rescuing birds · Rescuing reptiles (not snakes) · Rescuing other animal groups / species

Ticketing and Costs

Fauna Rescue SA Members  $5     Non-Members  $25     Children under 16 years  Free

Online attendance - existing members who have previously attended at least one workshop in person and live approximately 100km away from Fauna Rescue SA HQ are eligible to attend online. If you are a member and would like to attend online, please email us at training@faunarescue.com.au

Merchandise will be available for sale on the day to members only. Card facilities are available. 

Refunds policy - if you are no longer able to attend the event, please notify us as soon as possible via training@faunarescue.com.au. Refunds are available when at least 5 days notice is provided.

Food and Catering

The lunch break during the workshop is a wonderful opportunity for you to meet other like-minded people. 

Please BRING YOUR OWN LUNCH OR A PLATE TO SHARE. 

Tea, coffee and afternoon tea are provided.
