Description

Are you interested in learning more about woodworking, especially in the pursuit of a hobby or vocation? If so, then this two-class series is for you! Join instructor John Lunde as he provides a high-level overview of what a woodworker needs to know before beginning a project. The participants will be guided through the ins and outs of woodworking, beginning with the nature of wood and its considerations, to what a beginner's tool kit should consist of, including the most used hand and power tools and machines. After learning this, the participants will learn the different ways of fastening wood together.

Notes: This series is intended for the participants of September's "Planning a Woodworking Project" class and/or those who wish to further pursue woodworking.

Participants must be able to attend both sessions: Wednesday, October 8th from 7 to 9 PM and Wednesday, October 15th from 7 to 9 PM.

About the instructor: With 15 years of experience as a professional furniture maker and a manager of an architectural woodworking shop, John Lunde is excited to share his skills and pass along his knowledge to the MTL community.
