In what has become a cherished Everett holiday movie tradition, patrons will have the unique opportunity to view a 35mm film projection of the holiday classic motion picture It’s a Wonderful Life on Wednesday, December 23rd at 7:30 p.m. Directed by Frank Capra, 1946’s perennial Christmas classic film It’s a Wonderful Life, stars James Stewart as George Bailey, a man who dedicates his life to helping others, but requires the help of his guardian angel to discover how different his community would be had he not been born.
Nominated for five Academy Awards including Best Picture, and winner of the Academy’s Technical Achievement Award, the film is considered one of the greatest and most heartwarming holiday films of all time; it regularly ranks high within the American Film Institute’s 100 Greatest Films listing and in 1990 was selected for preservation within the United States National Film Registry. Come experience this perennial Christmas classic on the silver screen in a historic theater which presented the film during its 1946 debut eighty years ago. The evening’s program includes the animated short Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (1948) and will conclude at approximately 10:00 p.m.

Seating for this film is open general admission, including both balcony and main floor. Guests with large parties or desiring specific seats are advised to arrive early. This event is likely to sell out, and the theatre seated to capacity; please plan accordingly.
Theatre restrooms are located on the second floor and require use of stairs. Accessible first floor restrooms are located next door in our visual art center "The Gibby." Ushers will be on site to assist.
Wheelchair accessible seating is available in the back left and right corner of the theatre.
Concessions and merchandise counters will be open in advance of the show.
Parking is available both on-street and off-street across from the theatre.
