Two Feet Apart is a space for individuals to learn that language matters- that words mean things. That to embrace diversity means to practice inclusivity within LGBTQ+, Indigenous, POC and Black communities. To embrace diversity means to provide accessible practices for those who possess visible and invisible disabilities. It is a space to place egos in the crevices of our being, in hopes of broadening mental horizons to foster growth. It’s a space to fuel mindfulness. It’s a space to emulate vulnerability in the sharing of our stories because our stories are our greatest strengths and our strongest powers. Our superpowers.
Description
We are fostering a space that is inclusive and accessible to everybody with accommodations in place to best create a welcoming environment.
It Takes a Village is a commitment to empowering and engaging those around us.
This event features well-loved local vendors, an opportunity to slow down, stretch and focus on your breath, as well as farm-style networking tables to make the process of connecting with others feel as welcoming as possible.
There will be child-minding available, and a professional photographer for headshots, portraits or family photos (whatever makes you feel good). There will also be size & gender-inclusive stylists and make-up artists available for consultations. All services are factored into ticket prices.
On your way out don't forget to grab a swag bag highlighting small businesses as well as take a moment to connect with our on-site artist to get custom line art of your birth month flower or zodiac sign.
This is a non-profit event with net proceeds going to a local charity (to be announced).
