Artist talk by Izzy Li Kostrzewa at Coil & Cord Studio as part of the Trans Art Fest.
Kostrzewa is a featured artist in the (a)mending, (at)tending group exhibition, which runs from April 16 through May 23 at Coil & Cord Studio.

Izzy Li Kostrzewa @isaboko_ is an artist working primarily with textiles from deconstructed historic garments and the founder of zero waste fashion project Isaboko. They have hosted mending and upcycling workshops around NYC for the past two years and have a special interest in reconnecting people to the value of their clothes. Born in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, they later moved to New York City, where they earned a BFA from Parsons School of Design in 2023. Their work has been exhibited at the Paris Olympics (2024), the Taipei Cultural Center in NYC (2024) and Coil and Cord (2026.) Kostrzewa was a Young Designer in Residence at Materials for the Arts in 2024. They were a Redress Design Awards Finalist in 2021 (Hong Kong), and are a recipient of the CFDA Re:Generation Innovation Award (2022).
