Description

Event description:

Let cupid miss your heart and head straight for your ass! Don't be silly, this holiday should be for ALL LOVE and that love can even come from yourself. Join us for an evening of heart-felt melodies and melodramas. We also encourage you to bring a journal and a pen to write love letters to yourself in Ebeneezer Scrooge fashion (past, present, future).

The event is open to couples and cules, but it is particularly friendly to singles, women scorned, misandrists, and general anticapitalists regardless of their relationship status. Love is for everyone, and it shouldn't belong to Hallmark and grocery stores with shitty heart-shaped chocolate!

Bio:

Jacqueline Hyde is a story-driven, emotionally intense music project built on the beauty of grief and contradiction.

The music is an extension of a deeper ethos: that art should unsettle, expose, and unify. Drawing from influences across alternative, folk, and punk traditions, Jacqueline Hyde uses music as both storytelling and rebellion, merging lyrical vulnerability with bold sonic vocal performance.

The full band format is loud, dynamic, and gritty, while the solo performances are vulnerable, intimate, and profoundly honest. Each experience invites audiences into a world where emotion is political, community is sacred, and spectacle meets sincerity.

Amber Russell is a talented fingerstyle guitarist from Portland, Oregon, known for her intricate melodies and emotive performances. She co-owns Portland's only queer woman-owned guitar school, retail shop, and repair shop with her wife, Samantha, fostering a supportive community for musicians of all backgrounds. Amber's unique style blends technical skill with heartfelt expression, captivating audiences in every performance. She also offers workshops and lessons, empowering aspiring guitarists to find their own voice. Through her artistry and commitment to inclusivity, Amber inspires and uplifts musicians everywhere.
