Share The Jamal Jackson Dance Company presents works from its week-long outreach program integrating traditional Malian movement, a practice deeply connected to the earth, with contemporary dance techniques to impart self-confidence, discipline, and communication among our youth. Company members and students will present dances and percussion compositions based on dama, the masked dance rituals practiced by the Dogon people of Mali and Burkina Faso, created with participants from Operation Unite NY and Perfect Ten Hudson. In addition to the showcase performance, all attendees are welcome to take part in this interactive workshop.

PS21 has two unique venues in one stunning building on a bucolic setting just one mile outside the Village of Chatham: a traditional stage with open air seating protected by a sweeping pavilion roof as well as an enclosed black box theater. Equipped with state-of-the-art theatrical equipment, PS21 is able to accommodate a wide range of works by today's most brilliant artists in dance, theater and music.
