James Junes and Ernest David Tsosie III are drug-free performers, presenters, and motivational speakers who have been spreading a positive message through their comedy performances in Native American communities for the past decade. Their unique brand of comedy has been described as "healing medicine" for all. They have toured many tribes across the US, sharing their inspiring stories of overcoming addiction, childhood abuse, and other challenges. From the Sioux in South Dakota to the Seminoles in Florida, James & Ernie have brought laughter and motivation to audiences all over Native America.
In 2009, James and Ernie were named "Comedians of the Year" at the North American Indigenous Image Awards, recognizing talent from both the USA and Canada. They are well-known for performing and hosting popular Native American entertainment events, including the Native American Music Awards and the Gathering of the Nations Pow-Wow. They have also headlined at premiere casinos and venues, including the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC. In addition, James and Ernie have acted in films such as "Mile Post 398," which won awards and nominations at various Indigenous film festivals, and produced two award-winning comedy videos, "James & Ernie-fied 04" and "Fun in the Sun." They also co-founded and produced other projects.
