Brickell Walking Tour The two co-founding “mothers of Miami” meet at Mary Brickell Park
Meet at Brickell Mausoleum and spend the 1st part of the walking tour on the south side of the Miami River and work our way to The Miami Circle and Brickell Point. Along the way Becerra will point out what was where and who did what in the early years from 1871 to 1891 plus a bit about modern day Brickell. Then we shall cross the Brickell Bridge over to the north bank of the Miami River and discuss Julia Tuttle’s critical role in co- founding Miami. We will end our walking tour at The Julia Tuttle Statue and discuss the facts and myths of the Orange Blossom Story
