Join Arjun Bir, licensed professional engineer and building scientist, for a walk through Midtown that changes the way you see the built environment.
Starting at MODA, the tour zeroes in on the design decisions that most of us walk past every day: how materials are chosen, how water, air, and heat move through a building envelope, and how those choices play out differently across architectural styles and periods.
Expect hands-on exercises and real-world examples along the way.
About the Walk Leader
Arjun Bir is a Georgia Tech alumnus and licensed professional engineer in five states, specializing in the design, investigation, and rehabilitation of building enclosures. About Jane’s Walk
Jane’s Walk is an annual global festival honoring the legacy of urbanist, activist, and writer Jane Jacobs with free, citizen-led walking tours through the neighborhoods that lend so much character to our cities.
The festival promotes civic engagement and encourages leaders and participants to share stories about their communities and use walking as a means of connecting with their neighbors.

Accessibility: Terrain: Paved. This event IS wheelchair accessible.
What to Bring: Close-toed shoes, sunscreen, water.
If it rains, this walk will be rescheduled.
