The Brighton & Hove Food Partnership's Community Kitchen is a cookery school where everyone can cook, learn new skills and enjoy food with others. We want everyone to experience the benefits of cooking and eating together. By paying for a cookery class, you help other people to attend cookery activities, regardless of finance, confidence or ability, and to make lasting changes to their lives.
Description
Master the art of rich, comforting and umami packed ramen in this Japanese Cookery class with Chef Jethro.
At the end of this hands-on class you’ll be ready to impress family and friends with delicious home-made and authentic Japanese ramen.
During the lesson you will learn how to:
- Create a comforting steamy broth base.
- Assemble and garnish your bowls with contrasting flavours, ingredients and textures including egg or crispy tofu
- For meat eaters the addition of rolled pork belly
- Prepare a delicious Kare Korokke (a curried potato and vegetable croquette) with handmade tonkatsu sauce.
Dietary information: This class is adaptable for vegan or vegetarian diets but this must be specified when booking. The class involves cooking with seeds and gluten. The class is not adaptable for a Gluten Free diet. For any other allergies or dietary requirements, please contact us to discuss before booking.
