New Orleans’ acclaimed saxophonist Jason Mingledorff celebrates the release of his latest record, The Journal Sessions.  Join us at The Broadside in the Pavilion for this  album release party and tour kick off show.  Doors 7pm, Show 8pm.  The Grammy-winning Jazz Roads Artist is bringing his top-notch quintet featuring some of the city’s best - Mike Lemmler (keys), Bert Cotton (guitar), Ed Wise (bass), and Doug Garrison (drums).  Jason has played with some of the best performers in town.  Don't miss this chance to see one of the cities greatest saxophone players bringing new original music to life, live in person.

As always, while you are at The Broadside, enjoy one of our great cocktails or choose from a selection of draft and craft beer, or wine.  Nikkei Izakaya will be open at 5pm for your dining pleasure. Have a bite or drink before the show or enjoy it in the Pavilion.

FAQ

  • The showtime listed for the event is the time the event starts. Doors will generally open an hour before the listed show time unless otherwise listed.
  • We allow pets during the day, but not at night for music (anything after 7pm). Service animals are always allowed
  •  Please do not park in the Broad Theater parking lot. We have a parking lot for The Broadside and plenty street parking available on Toulouse and Lafitte. If you would like to be escorted to your car, please ask the Sheriff on duty. You may also park in the Auto Zone parking lot if they are closed. 
  • Our outdoor space has a variety of seating options such as benches, picnic tables, chairs, and stools. If you require a seat for health reasons or disability, please ask a staff member and they can provide you with a chair.
