Jazz Matters Icon Series Celebrates Joe Sample!
Joe Sample (1939–2014) was a renowned American pianist, keyboardist, and composer who co-founded the influential jazz-funk group The Crusaders (formerly the Jazz Crusaders). Known for blending jazz with soul, blues, and funk, he was a pioneer of the electric piano in the 1960s.
