Description

Take in the fresh air and raise a glass with Nancy and Bear Bishop of Alpenfire Cider! Join them for an evening of lively story telling around their discovery of European cider craft, organic orchard practices, and the production of their signature single-varietal, dry ciders. At this rare in person event, guests will be led on an educational stroll through the apple orchards and enjoy a cider tasting and discussion. All guests will be asked to wear masks and socially distance when appropriate. 30 guests maximum, 21+

The Bishops first discovered their passion for cider as 19-year-olds touring British Columbia. The ciders they tasted there sparked an interest that grew through many trials with the apples they would harvest from friend's orchards. In the early 2000's they got serious and went to see how it was being made in the cider regions of England, France and Spain. They saw that a lot of the production was done on a very small scale, and something that became abundantly clear was that they needed to plant a true cider apple orchard to make the type of cider they loved. They choose to grow organically, knowing that they are doing their part to create the kind of future they want for their family and planet.
