Description

Jeff Meleras and the Bokonons are an Ottawa band that brings an Americana type vibe and flavour to their songs. The Band consists of principal songwriter Jeff Meleras, local producer/engineer/multi instrumentalist Dave Draves, at whose Little Bullhorn studios The Friday Night Sessions was recorded, the amazing vocalist Piet Masone, and veteran punk rocker/folk rock troubadour Chris Page.

This album is a follow up to their first offering, Pot of Gold which was released in 2022. The Friday Night Sessions took place on a series of Friday Nights (go figure) starting in January of this year and features mostly apocalyptic songs about human folly, war, disharmony, and madness with a splash of a lonely love song added just because there is still lots of love in this world despite all of the above.

Song topics notwithstanding, the Bokonons will hopefully bring a few laughs with their colourful banter, and hopefully a few smiles with their sweet 4 part harmonies.

The crowd will be in for a special treat as in adition to being a Bokonon, Chris Page of the Stand, Camp Radio, and Expanda Fuzz fame will be opening things up with a set of his simply fantastic folk rock tunes.
