We are happy to welcome Jerry Joseph and The Jackmormons back to New Orleans at The Broadside!  This is a great chance to catch a master songwriter and his band at work in the intimate setting of the Pavilion.  Is it work though when you are doing what you love?  Come and share a great night of music with the band and your friends.  Doors 8pm.  Show 9pm.

Portland’s Jerry Joseph is a prolific and fearless artist whose songwriting, commanding voice, and electrifying performances have made him a respected figure in the global music scene. Over a four-decade career, Jerry has toured the world as a solo artist and with renowned bands like The Jackmormons, supergroup Stockholm Syndrome, and cult-favorite Little Women. His music has reached audiences in far-flung locales such as Lebanon, Israel, Kurdish Iraq, India, and Cambodia, embodying his commitment to using music as a force for connection and change. An Oregon Music Hall of Fame inductee, Jerry’s extensive catalog and relentless touring have cemented his reputation as a true original.

In 2020, Joseph released the critically acclaimed The Beautiful Madness. Produced by Patterson Hood with Drive-By Truckers as his backing band, the album received rave reviews from the media including being chosen Americana Album of the Month by Uncut Magazine, in the Top 20 of 2020 by Glide Magazine and one of the Top Albums of 2020 by Paste MagazineUncut Magazine called it, "An album for the times,” and Patterson wrote in the liner notes, "Jerry, to me is a cult figure who could, in some alternate reality, have easily been one of the biggest stars in the world. One of the greatest live performers I have ever seen and long one of my favorite songwriters.”

In September 2023, Joseph released his studio album, Baby, You’re The Man Who Would Be King, recorded in NYC and produced by Eric “Roscoe” Ambel. The album featured a band made up of some of New York’s best players and fulfilled a dream of Jerry’s to make a quintessential New York album.

Panther Tracks, Vol.1 recorded with his power trio, the Jackmormons, was released two years later, in September 2025. The album includes 5 fan favorite songs from the band’s live set that have never been recorded in a studio as well as their rendition of Leonard Cohen "You Want It Darker” and new track, “New Lincoln”.

“More people should really know about Jerry Joseph. Maybe you’ll be the next one to find him – and like the rest of us, never let him go.” — John Lee , Americana UK“

A triple threat—someone who works at the highest levels as a songwriter, singer, and player.” — Jason Isbell
