Description

JESSE DAYTON

One Night Only:  The Jesse Dayton Show --- featuring the modern-day Outlaw Country/Punk Rock guitar legend whose career spans decades, from chart-topping albums to collaborations with icons including Johnny Cash and Rob Zombie (no kidding). His recent number 1 album with Samantha Fish, Death Wish Blues, marked a global hit and earned the duo a 2024 Grammy nomination. Joining Jesse onstage for a rousing tribute to the late Mojo Nixon is Dash Rip Rock legend, Bill Davis.

But that's not all – prepare yourself for the debut of the Texas Headhunters, a musical force reminiscent of legendary supergroups like The Highwaymen and Traveling Wilburys, but perhaps more akin to Jack White's guitar-driven masterpiece, the Raconteurs.  The Texas Headhunters features a lineup of virtuosos including Ian Moore, Johnny Moeller, and Jesse Dayton, all of whom emerged from Austin's iconic Antone's blues club scene alongside such luminaries as the Vaughan Brothers and Gary Clark, Jr.  With impressive resumes boasting collaborations with superstars including all the actual Highwaymen (Cash, Jennings, Kristofferson, Nelson) and tours with the likes of Social Distortion and the Rolling Stones, Texas Headhunters promise a larger-than-life sound reminiscent of ZZ Top's Tres Hombres era, reaffirming the timeless connection between blues, rock 'n' roll, and the indelible spirit of Texas.

HONEY ISLAND SWAMP BAND

The fivesome – bandleader and multi-instrumentalist Aaron Wilkinson, guitarist and vocalist Lee Yankee, bassist Sam Price, keyboardist Chris Spies, and drummer and vocalist Garland Paul –  have recently released their most satisfying, consolidative album to date: Custom Deluxe, released October 27 on Color Red Music. Songs like the kinetic “High River Rag,” authoritative “Wildfire” and blues-rocking “Sugar For Sugar” display these musical omnivores at a new zenith. “We’re definitely melody-driven, vocal-driven, lyric-driven,” Wilkinson explains of the Honey Island Swamp Band’s modus operandi at this juncture, with Custom Deluxe. “We like something that’s new, yet sounds like it could have been a hit that you didn’t know about.”
