A $1,000 nonrefundable deposit is due at the time of booking to secure your spot. Final payment is due August 31st.

Cancellation Policies

A 30% penalty of the full price of the trip applies if cancelled prior to August 12.
A 100% penalty
of the full price of the trip applies if cancelled after August 12.

About Margaret E. Boyle

Margaret E. Boyle is a professor and writer, most recently of Sabor Judío: The Jewish Mexican Cookbook (a 2024 National Jewish Book Award finalist, with Ilan Stavans). In the book, she combines academic research with her family history to tell the stories of Mexican Jews from 1492 to the present. Through years of collecting community recipes and interviewing food professionals, Boyle has helped document the unique foodways of Mexican Jewish communities both in Mexico and in the U.S. diaspora. Margaret is Professor of Hispanic Studies at Bowdoin College and teaches courses on women’s writing, the Inquisition, Spanish language, and health humanities. Her work in cultural and international exchange has been recognized through a Fulbright Senior Scholar Award and grants from the National Endowment for the Humanities and the Whiting Foundation.
