Chai contrasts her Korean roots with American life, blending tradition and modernity. Her work has been featured in NBC News, Hyperallergic, and shown at the Honolulu Museum of Art.
YouBeen immigrated from Seoul at 16, using art to cope with culture shock. Her work blends Korean heritage and American life, exploring identity through portraiture and nature inspired abstract expressionism.
Over the last 4 years Cafe Kopi has become the Kailua institution to enjoy freshly baked croissants, bagels, pastries, baked desserts, and asian comfort foods. Where else can you enjoy croissant, Chinese dumpling, samosa, pain au chocolate, and fruit tart on the same ticket?
Cafe Kopi creates hand-crafted espresso drinks, house-made chai, macha, and the only authentic Singaporean Kopi in Hawaii. Our signature dish, available on weekends and during special events, is the Singapore Laksa. This aromatic noodle dish based on a blend of spices, curries, fermented shrimp and coconut cream. This authentic dish is serve with bean sprouts, ramen egg, fried tofu, and shrimp.
