Share Julia Othmer is a passionate songstress exploring interior and exterior worlds through music and multi-media projects, inspired by social and environmental justice. Her voice is vibrant and emotionally potent. Her piano-driven performances are mesmerizing fusions of raw power, vocal artistry and joy.
The child of refugees, Othmer draws from a richly cultured palette of experience to inspire her intensely human yet otherworldly songs. She was one of seven artists selected to represent the USA for Global Music Match 2021, an Official Showcasing Artist at Folk Alliance International 2022, and a Mid-America Arts Alliance Artist Leadership Fellow 2023.
Her award-winning music has been featured on NPR and the BBC, in film, TV, and video games. Songwriting awards include the Billboard World Song Contest Finalist and the International Songwriting Competition Semi-Finalist. She tours internationally and has shared the stage with a range of artists including Emmylou Harris, Sarah McLachlan, Lisa Loeb, The Alarm and Regina Spektor.

The Depot, located in the historic Santa Fe Train Depot, is an arts organization and event venue. It produces the Summer Breeze Concert Series, The Depot Gallery, Depot Concerts, Depot TV, and serves as the venue for community gatherings, workshops, and events. The facility is available to the public as a rental venue for weddings, gatherings, and other activities by contacting us at office@normandepot.org.
