Join the Cape Fear Bonsai Society for a relaxed summer gathering featuring a picnic social and a beginner bonsai workshop.
We will begin with a casual picnic-style lunch and social time, giving members and guests an opportunity to connect and talk about bonsai. An indoor space with air conditioning will be available for comfort during the summer heat.
Following the social, we will hold a beginner bonsai workshop focused on basic bonsai techniques and design principles. Participants will work on a small starter tree while learning about pruning, structure, and future development.
This event is especially designed for new members and visitors who first discovered the club during our bonsai exhibition and would like to begin learning bonsai.
Experienced members are welcome to attend and help guide beginners.

The Cape Fear Bonsai Society, established in 2001, is a group that meets monthly to study and practice the art of Bonsai.
The club has an active program of training through workshops, guest speakers, and a sharing of Bonsai expertise. Membership is open to both the novice and the more experienced practitioner of Bonsai.
