OVERVIEW & PURPOSE
The purpose of this class is to give one the basic understanding of tarot. To help build the
foundation for using tarot as a divination and intuitive tool. This class will go over the
basic building blocks such as history, symbolism, general meaning, and uses of tarot.
The goal is for 30 minutes left at the end of each session for students to ask questions, get
more clarification, read of themselves or other students. This class is one part self paced
and another part guided.
OBJECTIVES
1. Know the Major and Minor arcana
2. Know the meanings behind the cards upright and reverse
3. Understand the symbolism behind each card
4. Be able to incorporate tarot into your daily life
5. Understand the history
6. Be able to start doing basic readings for yourself or others
MATERIALS NEEDED
1. A notebook
2. A pen or pencil
3. A tarot deck, preferably one that has clear names for the cards and number.
COURSE SCHEDULE
Week One: Quick Introduction and Major Arcana
Hosted on Saturday, July 2nd from 1 p - 4 p
- Going over the basics of how different decks can be, numerology,
color theory, and what cards mean yes/no/maybe.
- Starting with the Fool and ending at The World. Going over upright
and reversed meanings. Symbolism. The major wisdom each card
signifies. How one card “evolves'' into the next.
Week Two: Minor Arcana Cups and Pentacles
Hosted on Saturday, July 9th from 1 p - 4 p
- Going over each card from Ace to King. Going over upright and
reversal meanings. Symbolism. How the Court cards can represent
both ideals, people, and YOU. The elements behind the Cups. The
elements behind the Pentacles.
Week Three: Minor Arcana Swords and Wands
Hosted on Saturday, July 16th from 1 p - 4 p
- Going over each card from Ace to King. Going over upright and
reversed meanings. Symbolism. How the Court cards can represent
both ideals, people, and YOU. The elements behind the Swords. The
elements behind the Wands.
Week Four: Spreads, Rituals, Closing Statements.
Hosted on Saturday, July 23rd from 1 p - 4 p
- Going over Spreads and rituals one can do to use tarot at a more in
depth level. Students will get a chance to design their own basic
spread and spend the most time here reading for other students if
they wish. Going over how Tarot can be used ritualistically. Closing
statements.

DISCLAIMER:
Some cards go over topics like grief or adultery. Other cards may bring up memories that
make you uneasy. YOu can take a break, and leave if need be, without judgment. Should
you be unable to attend a course, all materials we have gone over will be provided to you
via email or in the Google class.
