WHEN THE SCREAMING STARTS AND THE BLOOD BEGINS TO FLOW… PINCH YOURSELF AND KEEP REPEATING I’M AT THE MOVIES! I’M AT THE MOVIES! I’M AT THE MOVIES! I’M AT THE MOVIES!
The Film: A pianist is the sole witness to the murder of a famous psychic, and the killer wants him dead. He teams up with a sassy reporter to find the murderer, all the while dodging attempts on their lives by the unseen killer who is hell-bent on concealing a dark secret. Come for the brutal over-the-top gore that made Dario Argento famous, but stay for the gripping, complex story. Deep Red, which is ranked among his most sophisticated giallo films, was a transitional film for Argento, in between his earlier gialli and his later supernatural features like Inferno, Phenomena, and Suspiria. Deep Red is Argento’s first of many scores with Italian progressive rock band Goblin (who also scored a few of George Romero’s films).
Rated R
Tickets $8 - Film at 10:30pm
