Saturday, July 16 Jump Cut returns to the Parkway Theater & Film Lounge in McKees Rocks for our Jump Cut Roadshow: so bad they're good films hosted by our very own Wayne Massey!
Funnier than The Omen... scarier than Silent Movie.
If you like really campy satanic B-movies, you are going to love Satan’s Cheerleaders (1977); a truly stupefying night of horror, comedy and endearingly awful acting. You’re in for a devilishly good time with this campy drive-in classic!
On their way to the big game, the cheerleaders and their dim-witted coach are stranded on a desert road. They’re offered a ride by school janitor (Jack Kruschen), who unbeknownst to them is an agent of a satanic cult with less than honorable plans for one of the girls. After crashing into a satanic altar, the girls get back onto the road and are sent by a hobo (John Carradine) to the local sheriff, B.L. Bubb (John Ireland) and his wife Emmy (Yvonne de Carlo). The girls realize that something is wrong when the sheriff attacks their coach, and they split up in search of help, only to discover that the locals are all members of a Satanic cult and that its leader, Bubb, and his wife are plotting to celebrate the Black Mass with one of the cheerleaders as a blood sacrifice!
Audi preces meas satana blessed be!! When these girls raise hell... there's the devil to pay!
Tickets $8 - Film at 10:30pm
