Kaatsbaan Ballet Intensive Collegiate Week 2024 Video Submission

Kaatsbaan Ballet Intensive Collegiate Week is a training program designed for students who are 18-25. This program is designed for college students that would like to focus and improve on their ballet technique and ballet repertory. There will also be the opportunity to explore contemporary choreography with special classes and lectures.

Kaatsbaan Ballet Intensive Collegiate Week 2024 will take place June 24, 2023-June 29, 2024.  Boarding and Day Student availability.

 

Video auditions will be accepted December 1, 2023 – March 8, 2024. Video footage of performances and/or variations will not be accepted. Your audition should be no more than 10 minutes in length. 

 

You will be asked to submit your video by filling out a google form. The link to this form will be in your confirmation email after purchasing. 

 

What to include in your video submission: 

Start the recording by stating your name, age, and DOB. Create your own combinations both at the barre and in the  center using the below requirements. You do not need to do both sides in combinations.

Barre: 

• Grande plié in each position 

• Tendu en croix with demi plié 

• Tendu and degages en croix 

• Rond de jambe en dehors and en dedans 

• Developpé and fondu en croix, end with an arabesque 

• Grand Battement en croix 

Center Work: 

• Adage, show ecarté and attitude 

• Pirouette en dehors and en dedans 

• Petit allegro 

• Grand Allegro 

• Ladies: Pointe work combination 

• Men: double tours and pirouettes a la seconde en l'air
