Description
In this class, young dancers ages 4-7 will explore movement in connection to the natural world. We will learn about the fundamental building blocks of dance through different activities inspired by our own environment. This is a space for us to improvise, collaborate, and have fun, as we draw inspiration from the nature around us in this entirely outdoor class! Please be sure to have participants wear comfortable clothes and shoes for moving outdoors, with the possibility for layers. In the case of heavy rain, the class will move indoors.
Classes will meet Saturdays from 10:00-11:00am, October 29-November 19, 2022.
Kaatsbaan Cultural Park continues to require COVID-19 vaccination and booster for all outdoor and indoor events, but will no longer require proof of vaccination to attend, in line with NYC theaters.
We are unable to accept cash. Please note that class fees are non-refundable.

Hello! My name is Justine Denamiel and I'm a dancer and choreographer currently studying at Bard College. I'm from New York City and now love living in the Hudson Valley, where I'm able to go hiking much more frequently! For me, dance has always been a mode of experimentation, a time where I can ask questions and reflect. I look forward to having a fun time dancing with everyone!
