Description

Bez is thrilled to have Kandle back on our stage! This time not with The Family Curse, or her father, 54-40's Neil Osborne but her own acclaimed music and we can hardly wait!

Kandle has been making waves in the Canadian music scene since the release of her breakout 2015 album In Flames on Dare To Care Records. The critically acclaimed project earned her a Juno Award nomination, a Fan Choice win at the Prism Prize, and nominations for Album of the Year and Artist of the Year at the GAMIQ Awards. It also brought her widespread national and international press, propelling her onto the scene with a dedicated fanbase and strong industry backing.

This momentum led to key collaborations with artists like Apashe (with over 2 million monthly Spotify listeners), Cœur de Pirate, and July Talk, showcasing Kandle’s versatility as a songwriter and her ability to effortlessly cross genres — and even languages, singing fluently in French. Her sophomore album has surpassed 2 million streams on Spotify and continues to grow.

Kandle stands apart in today’s musical landscape — her sound is unmistakably her own. With her most recent critically acclaimed full-length album, she masterfully blends her love of ‘60s girl group soul with the haunting alt-rock of the ‘90s she grew up on. Now fully independent after years of mistreatment from former labels and managers, Kandle is in control — and it shows.

These new tracks shimmer with retro textures, but it’s the raw, unflinching songwriting that makes them unforgettable. Stories of toxicity, heartbreak, and survival are delivered with stark honesty and layered over a rich, cinematic palette: sparkling pianos, distorted guitars, dynamic horns, and lush harmonies — all of it drawing listeners into her deepest confessions.

Her music resonates with outsiders, underdogs, and anyone navigating the darker corners of life with grit and grace. Kandle has collaborated with some of Canada’s finest talents, including Sam Roberts, Peter Dreimanis (July Talk), and Devon Portielje (Half Moon Run). She also starred in Jack White’s award-winning short film Corporation, earning accolades for her magnetic on-screen presence.

Kandle began her career in Montreal with her self-titled EP and, after just her third live performance, took the stage at Osheaga. From there, she quickly rose to international stages and major media features, appearing in Flare, Elle, Voir (as cover star), Dress to Kill, and more.

Kandle’s new album is the culmination of years immersed in music — self-produced and filled with stunning, haunting, and brilliant songs. She is driven by a deep desire to be a voice for the lonely and to follow her creative instincts with fearless honesty.

Exploring fresh sonic landscapes and bold collaborations, Kandle has crafted her most powerful work to date: a record that is vulnerable, unflinching, and emotionally raw — an ode to the darkness that surrounds us and the rare connection we find within it. Hypnotic, sultry, edgy, and intimate from start to finish, the album defies categorization and reaffirms her place as a boundary-pushing artist.

Most recently, Kandle has joined forces with the powerhouse women of Eagles of Death Metal to form an all-star, female-fronted outlaw country-rock band, further proving her versatility and fearless evolution as an artist.
